Several years ago Tino Suarez was balancing his daily responsibilities. He was sandwiching his family life, a demanding career, and the role of a care giver to his elderly mom. His mom had been battling Alzheimer for eight years. It was not long that Tino learned, that taking care of a love one can be very consuming and challenging. Like most families, he did not know who to turn to get help and direction for the quality of life for their love one. Until one afternoon, while sitting and reading to his mom underneath a shade tree, he noticed a care giver from Right At Home. He was impressed with the compassion and care of that care giver that he and his wife Debra would later open the first Right At Home office in the Plant City area.

Debra Suarez is president of Right At Home of Plant City. Debra has worked in the insurance arena for 35 years. Her mom has been bed ridden and dependent since 1998. Debra residing several states away from her mom, began relying on a network of friends and family as well as community resources to care for her mom. Her absence proved to be overwhelming. It was that stress that lead Debra to the Right At Home folks.

Due to Debra's and Tino's life expirence, as family caregivers to their parents, they understand and complement the Right at Home mission, "Improving the Quality of Life."
